Who is David?
Who is David?
“I am a native English speaker from Scotland, married to a South African, and living in the countryside of Limburg with our daughter, an Irish setter, and a Persian cat. I enjoy golf, tennis, cooking, and walking my dog.
I moved to Belgium in 2010 after working as UK Country Director for the Generation Europe Foundation, where I coordinated the localisation and distribution of 4.5 million school planners across 28 European countries. Since 2011, I have been teaching English to international executives and providing both online and on-site training for multinational companies in Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.”
In which language does David provide training?
“Western Europe has an eclectic mix of nationalities, all of whom use English as an international lingua franca. I have experience training and teaching British English to students from a wide range of countries, cultures, and religions.
I have a practical knowledge of French and a beginner level in Dutch, Spanish, German, and Afrikaans.”
What motivates David to give language training?
“Curiosity comes first. I not only take satisfaction in building a strong professional relationship with each student, but also in seeing the progress between the starting level and the final level.”
What makes him such a good and enjoyable language trainer?
“I offer a relaxed, safe, and secure learning environment. As a good conversational partner—diplomatic and with a sense of humour—I understand the business world thanks to my experience in various sectors.”
